I found Italy is an easy country to get around on a bicycle, as roads and bicycle paths are well signed and drivers are used to numerous cyclists on the roads. I enjoyed the combined Veneto and Adige cycling routes so much that I have done them twice.
The food and wine in Italy are delicious, as you would expect, and bicycle-friendly accommodation is easy to find. While there are some long-distance cycle paths, such as the Adige, I found I was mostly on local roads. Read more and start planning your trip below!
