The Texsport Saguaro Bivy Shelter Tent is an inexpensive tent that is very light to keep and keeps you nice and dry.
What is good about the Texsport Saguaro
Easy setup – if you have ever arrived at your campsite in the dark on a rainy night you know how important this is. You want shock corded poles so you do not need to figure what fits where and you want to have your tent up in 5 minutes. This tent delivers.
Lightweight – if you carry your tent in a bicycle pannier it needs to be light and compact. This tent comes in at 4 pounds and the size is only 44 x 51 x 92 inches. This means it is small but yet big enough to sit up in unlike some other styles of bivy tents.
Easy entry – an arch style front door provides easy in-and-out and you may be aware that is not true of all tents.
Ventilation – has a built-in “no-see-um” mesh window with zippered storm flap and a mesh roof panel so open it up and watch the stars at night, that is part of the experience of camping in the outdoors.
Full coverage rainfly – with silver coating for UV protection let you keep the elements at bay while enjoying sufficient airflow. Also the ripstop polyethylene floor is water and boot-proof.

There were many excellent reviews for this tent. Many reviewers mentioned they encountered high winds and how well this tent performed. It also did very well when it rained keeping people nice and dry and they found it very water tight.
Everyone felt it was easy to set up. The manufacturer states it holds two people and it does but that is a little tight. It is better for one person plus their gear.
People would have preferred the poles be in 4 pieces instead of 3 as they find them a bit long and wish they were a little more compact to pack. A few people mentioned they had issues with the poles.
The Texsport Saguaro Bivy Shelter Tent is a very popular tent due to its size, weight and ability to withstand the elements and I recommend you consider it when backpacking or bicycle touring.
