The GSI Halulite Microdualist is a compact, ultralight and the most portable system for two people. Although designed for backpacking it includes all the necessities if you are bicycle touring touring as well if you are camping on your journey.
What is good about the GSI Halulite Microdualist
Very light & compact – everything fits in one pot which fits in the stuff sack while weighting only 17.8 ounces for two cyclists. Compact as well with the dimensions are only 5.5 x 5.6 x 5.9 inches so it will easily fit in your pannier.
Wash basin – in the morning use the welded stuff sack which doubles as a sink if washrooms are not handy. It can also be used as a wash basin in camp and a stuff sack to hold this cook set.
Strainer – the pot lid also serves as a strainer, handy when making those pasta dinners which are so popular with cyclists.
Even eliminates spills – the unique bowl and mug solution has a low center of gravity and Sip-It lid virtually eliminating spills while the insulating sleeve keeps your morning coffee or evening soup hot.
Very complete set – made for two people you get a pot (with lid), insulated mugs, bowls (with lids) and more.
Solid construction – as light as Titanium, Halulite is a proprietary alloy that also conducts heat better and more evenly so you can leave the extra fuel at home. Plus, every piece is Hard Anodized to create a surface that withstands scratches and abrasions like nothing else. It’s ultra light without the sacrifices.

What customers say about the GSI Halulite Microdualist
Although all the reviewers commented about kayaking or backpacking trips the essential aspects still apply when cycling and there were only positive reviews for this set.
For example one reviewer said I’m amazed how small this set shrinks the whole camp kitchen! All the parts, plus my MSR Pocket Rocket Stove and a can of JetBoil 4-season fuel all fit inside. Total size is 6″ in diameter by 8″ in height. The handle of the main pot folds over the top and holds the lid on rather securely. I tipped the entire thing upside down and shook it: no rattling and nothing came tumbling out.
Numerous reviewers commented on how lightweight, compact and how well this set in made. Most are amazed at how well these pots and bowls fit together. The sporks are easy to open and collapse and have their own case although one person thought they were flimsy.
Important when you are camping the pots seem to heat up pretty quickly, too. The big pot works well and food doesn’t stick to it all that much. The lid is very useful and has a built-in strainer, which is nice for cooking pasta.
They clean very well and have not got scratched up for how often I have used them on hikes. Going on my second year and love this product. No one reported any issues with this set.
The GSI Halulite Microdualist is affordable, lightweight and compact, perfect for your next bicycle touring camping trip.
