What Customers Say About the Eureka Solitaire Tent
This bicycle touring tent received many positive ratings from people who have purchased and used it. This tent is extremely good for its designed purpose; a lightweight backpacking tent.
Everyone comments on how it packs extremely small and light. Many reviewers have used it in all night rain and wind with no leaks.
Regarding the tent size one hiker mentioned he was 6’2″ and can fit in the tent without touching any sides, but space is very tight and there is no room for gear. Another person stated they are 5’10” and 220 lbs and I fit in it with my boots and pack inside.
There were a number of comments that it takes some practice to learn to get into and out of the tent. . Getting in and out during rain is tricky, but once in and closed up, it is snug.
Another review commented that on a trip in mid March, while on the AT, the Solo Solitaire performed better then he expected. High winds, frigid temperatures, and a crisp Spring Sunrise over Hawk Mountain, rounded off the weekend. Since then we have used it in all types of weather, to include Summer thunderstorms, and it has performed well.
Very affordable, if you are looking for a extremely lightweight and compact packing tent then the Eureka Solitaire Tent gets our recommendation as a safe buy.
