The Axiom Adirondack Handlebar Bag is a convenient accessory when bicycle touring for storing your camera, first aid, snacks, tools and other small items you need to get at quickly. I hate having to stop my bicycle and go rummaging through my large panniers to find things during the ride and this bag solves that.
What is good about this Handlebar Bag
Converts into shoulder bag – just detach from your bike handlebars and use it as a shoulder bag which works well if heading into a store, restaurant for lunch or doing some sightseeing during your journey.
Quality bag – this is a made of water resistant polyester so I recommend placing items in plastic bags to keep them dry so you are sure to encounter rain during any extended cycle tour. I place all my items in plastic bags anyway for quick packing. The high level fabric used in all Axiom bags has exceptionally low off-gassing characteristics that exceed even European standards.
Good size – not too large and bulky but right for the task with a zippered main compartment of 11” x 9” x 4” holding 5 liters (305 cubic inches). It is lightweight at 0.4 pounds (190 grams). There is some netting for a banana or something small.
Easy mounting – has a hook and loop Velcro closure that quickly attaches to your bicycle handlebar.

What customers say about the Axiom Adirondack
Many reviewers remarked that they were looking for a bag that could hold a biking jacket, first aid items, camera, cell phone, etc. and found this was perfect. They love the size which is large enough to carry these things, yet is not too bulky or big to get in the way.
Also many cyclists said they find this bike bag to be unobtrusive as it quickly straps on your handlebar stem to minimize any bouncing.
One reviewer uses it similar to the way I do stating I bought this bag for a 7 day cycling trip in Cambodia, its brilliant because every time I leave the bike for sightseeing I can use the long strap attachment and carry it as I would a satchel bag.
The only issue is that it is water resistant so if you encounter heavy rain things can get wet. As I mentioned above I line all my panniers (the big rear bags too) with plastic so I have not found this to be an issue.
The Axiom Adirondack Handlebar Bag is a handy way to carry your essential items when cycling.
